The challenge

Sue Beavil, Head of Learning, has a global remit at leading offshore law firm, Mourant. The firm has over 500 employees based in London, Hong Kong and four major offshore jurisdictions – the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, Jersey, and Guernsey. Building up a portfolio of learning activities that could be accessed from their Intranet was the answer for the team at Mourant. It led Sue to focus not only on providing links to financial papers, law reviews, articles, and podcasts, but also quality video training that could offer straightforward behavioural prompts in a succinct format.

What we did

Scott Bradbury’s video library has over 70 titles that reflect the themes of people, performance, and productivity. Short accessible video learning that lawyers could tap into individually when the need arises was the key requirement. “Every minute of their time is accounted for. The five-minute video titles knit together key interpersonal skills that can be accessed on demand. WATCH & GO met our brief” explains Sue.

The outcome

Alongside each video is a downloadable pdf which has proved popular with Sue’s team. “They really help to reinforce the message,” explains Sue, “but what I really appreciate about working with the Scott Bradbury team is their responsiveness and understanding. I see Catherine and her team as an extension of our L&D function. It’s a partnership. Catherine responded quickly to support us with our Skill of the Month campaign when I asked her for help”. Catherine comments, “We were able to set up Learning Pathways to reflect the current L&D focus, being able to meet Sue’s needs efficiently and effectively is key to our successful partnership”.
