Using Competencies Successfully
This workshop helps people use your competency framework for self-development and to prepare for an appraisal or internal job promotion.
Delegates learn how competency frameworks focus on how people behave rather than what they are capable of. They learn the importance of gathering evidence and of looking for opportunities to demonstrate the behaviours that are required, either for their existing role or for a future promotion.
Delegates also explore areas where they may not be able to demonstrate evidence of required behaviours and use these to inform their personal development plans.
After this workshop delegates will be able to:
- Explain what competencies are and why we use them
- Devise a plan to achieve high scores in an appraisal
- Devise a plan to achieve success in a promotion interview
- Devise a personal development plan using your competency framework.
