Middle and junior managers in an organisation are the people who make change happen. A change initiative may be conceived by senior managers but it is the behaviour and actions of managers throughout the organisation which bring about its success - or failure.
This programme illustrates the pivotal role managers play and ensures that your managers have the skills and support they require to bring about lasting change.
The film illustrates six key principles of leading a change programme:
- Clarity: people need to be completely clear about what the change is
- Belief: they must believe in the change
- Desire: they must want to embrace the change
- Fairness: they must believe that the change is being implemented fairly
- Commitment: they must see on-going involvement by everyone else
- Purpose: they need to understand their own contribution to the change.
Making Change Happen illustrates how to overcome the common pitfalls in any change initiative. Your managers learn how to deal with objections and the everyday hurdles that jeopardise the successful implementation of change.
It's easy for people to lose focus and divert their energies into other activities. Managers must work tirelessly to reinforce the change message, using every opportunity to communicate the change and demonstrate commitment to it. This programme shows how.
